Today our caseworker called to let us know the 2nd best news so far in this adoption..(First was obviously our referral!)
WE HAVE A COURT DATE!
This is wonderful news as things in Ethiopia seem to continue to change. We were praying for a date before the courts close in August/September for their regular "closure" time.
So we leave in a little over 3 1/2 weeks. OH MY GOSH!
On this trip we will meet our boy, visit the orphanage he came from, see the beautiful country of his heritage and go to court. We won't bring him home on this trip. (can't even imagine that right now..) That will come later. (probably late summer/early fall if every little detail falls into place correctly) But we will get to love on him, hold him, snuggle him, pray over him and be giddy parents all over again. OH MY GOSH WE CAN'T WAIT!!
This weekend we are having a MASSIVE garage sale to raise money for the adoption. Couldn't have come at a better time, since we need to buy plane tickets! Please pray for a successful garage sale!
