Earlier this week there was an article in the Washington Post about how Ethiopian Adoptions are on the rise...by a lot..And this year or next year, they might pass up China as having the most international adoptions completed.
I was encouraged to see such a positive article written about adoptions...and not just because it was specific to Ethiopia. (That was just bonus!) It seems lately all we see about adoptions in the news are about the negative side to it. I'm not dumb. I'm not naive. I know that adoption isn't all wonderful all the time. But it's so easy for the media to focus on the negative and the positive stuff gets lost in the mix somewhere.
But for today, I will just be thankful that a positive article was released. And stop at that.
