Here is a quick update on where things are at in the process....
About a week ago our caseworker submitted our final homestudy report to the State for their approval. Once that gets back, we can submit our dossier. Estimated times for the approval to come back vary anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months. Obviously we are hoping for it to take just a couple of weeks.
Our dossier is complete and just hanging out waiting to be sent...I still need to make about a billion copies of everything in there and double/triple check everything before we submit it, but I'm pretty confident it's all good. (Knock on wood)
Also when we get the State approval back, we'll get a letter in the mail telling us our fingerprint appointment time up in Denver at the Immigration office. Yes, we have to get another set of fingerprints...These are (to make it simple) for travel approval from our government...(in so many words.)
So things are moving....it's a bunch of hurry up and wait...then rush around like a mad person, then wait some more.....then FREAKOUT, cry a bit, run around again....and yes, wait some more. Seeing a pattern here?
